I’m Rick, and Etherplex is the clearing house for my code and musings. I currently work as a software engineer in San Diego doing prototyping programming in Scala and Java in the areas of genetic programming and distributed computing systems designed for use in unreliable, low-bandwidth, dynamic, wireless environments.
Most content is related to functional programming in some kind of Lisp or Scala, and the musings vary widely, but usually include intellectual property issues or programming (and often Emacs). I’m always looking for interesting work in functional languages (ML, Scala, Lisp, Haskell).
